Tomorrow, February 24, marks two years since the war began. And it's uncertain when it will end. Even close people, who now live in Ukraine, barely contain their irritation that on this side of the border, it seems, everything is fine, and we cannot share either their pain or their fears.
One of the main reasons for the creation of our duo, KATE&FINE, with Kate, surprisingly enough, is our involvement, our resistance, our struggle. Not everyone knows that Katia's husband was killed in the first days of the war in Kharkiv, leaving behind two children. My eldest son was wounded on the front lines in Donbas just a few days ago, and the younger one was recently demobilized from the war in Israel.
Our first joint song and music video, "I'm With You" (watch it on YouTube), is based on the famous composition "Rise Up" by Andra Day, for which Katia wrote new original lyrics:

Завтра, 24 лютого, виповниться два роки, як почалась війна. І невідомо, коли закінчиться. Навіть близькі люди, які нині живуть в Україні, ледь стримують роздратування, що по цей бік кордону у нас, начебто, все добре, і ми не можемо розділити ані їх біль, ані їх страхи.
Одна з головних причин створення нашого з Kateryna Bezugla дуету KATE&FINE - це, як не дивно, - наша участь, наш спротив, наша боротьба.
