#Elegia for Сhoir and Сello. 💫 The cello part is performed on the ROLI Seaboard RISE in combination with the #ROLI #Airwave. The choir part is performed on a #Moog #Theremin, whose timbre was later replaced by sounds from the ROLI #Equator2 synthesizer (Choral Ensembles sound pack).

Сейчас многие подводят итоги года. 

Только вряд ли нам интересны чьи-то достижения, тем более, большинство из них - глянцевая витрина: в лучшем случае, мы выдаём желаемое за действительное - стремимся к какому-то месту, а не занимаем его.

Скажу честно, меня больше тревожат итоги года страны, общества и мира. Ключевое слово: тревожат.

Перед Первой мировой тоже был бум потребительской роскоши, беззаботность и прорыв в технологиях. 

Но необратимые процессы были запущены - и мир погрузился в такой хаос, который не расхлёбан до сих пор.

Мои итоги 2025 года и предчувствие будущего будет выражено Элегией для хора и виолончели - новым музыкальным произведением, над мастерингом которого сегодня закончил работу. Пришлось сидеть над музыкой до красноты глаз, по 10-12 часов в день, - всё потому, что уже через два дня принадлежать себе я не смогу.

📝 Author’s remark: Many people are summing up the year now.

But hardly anyone is truly interested in someone’s achievements, especially since most of them are just a glossy showcase: at best, we pretend the desired is reality - we strive for a place rather than actually occupy it.

To be honest, what worries me more are the results of the year for the country, society, and the world. The key word here is: worries.

Before World War I, there was also a boom of consumer luxury, carefreeness, and breakthroughs in technology.

But irreversible processes had already been set in motion - and the world sank into such chaos that still hasn’t been sorted out.

My summary of 2025 and a premonition of the future are expressed in the Elegy for Choir and Cello - a new musical work whose mastering I finished today.

I had to work on it until my eyes were bloodshot, 10 to 12 hours a day - all because in two days I will no longer belong to myself.
